International Community for Auditory Display

Dear ICAD people,

The Hipui research team, which is part of the Virtual Acoustics team at the Aalto University/Media Technology (formerly Helsinki University of Technology), has launched its first application applying auditory display in AppStore. Our free Funkyplayer App allows you to control your music player while walking, biking, snowboarding or jogging – actually, while doing almost anything. Funkyplayer employs gesture and touch input and spatial 3D audio, enabling completely eye-free operation of the device.

The application is free and we are currently collecting feedback from users. If you have an iPhone/iPod, we would be very happy if you could try our app and give us feedback. See more at http://funkyplayer.hipui.com.
