I suggest to include on the ICAD website the possibility to anonymously upload soundsamples for the conference applications. This would encourage the applicants to include more acoustic material togeher with their submissions. And it would be a convenient service for the reviewers, having everything in one place.

Could it be possible to make all the previous ICAD publications available on this website, with a nice interfae to search and rate them. I think this would make it also easier to choose the best 10 papers.

Does anyone have last year's Soho auditory treasure hunt results collected somewhere? Would it be possible to put them up at the ICAD website as a whole?
The treasure hunt objectives and results would be a nice way to see how audio professionals hear and interpret their world. In general, similar "competitions" with a common task or theme (like the concerts or the upcoming auditory menu competition), would be a nice source of comparative information, a growing corpus of auditory display design approaches, if you will.

I've been wondering about the glossary-page. It's a good and useful page on a multidisciplinary area, especially for newcomers/students/general public, but since we researchers are always nit-picking about references and definitions, I was wondering how have/should we come up with the terms included in that page? I guess everybody knows what 'pitch' means, but already 'timbre' is getting more vague (at least according to one of the keynote speeches this year), and further down the line it gets even more interesting.
Please reply to this topic so you can be added to the list.
The ICAD.org Knowledge Base contains an "Institutions" section. The general idea is to have a listing of all the groups which are actively involved in ICAD and auditory display. Here is the direct link.
I would find it very useful to have an announcements section. This could support, say, a product release or important updates to an upcoming conference. It could be a part of a more general discussion, but "General Questions" doesn't seem appropriate.
Project support would be handy, as well. This could be handled by the individual creators, but a central location for support could improve the ease of finding information.
With the new ICAD site, it would be very convenient if all papers ever presented at an ICAD conference were either stored or linked from the new site, perhaps under a new heading, such as Papers.
What about having member profiles with interests and skills etc., and means to browse a member list?
How does one get something added to the reference list (e.g., a Master's thesis)?
